Upgrading Notice: Canopy Construction

Renovation Details:

• Start Date: 18 February 2025
• Expected Completion: 8 months
• Key Focus: Installation of a new canopy over the Main Lobby Drop-Off to enhance access and provide a covered walkway connecting the Outpatient Centre, North Tower, and Mediplex.

Key Updates for Patients and Visitors

1. Temporary Pick-up & Drop-Off Area for Outpatient Centre & Mediplex

• Main drop-off areas at Outpatient Centre & Mediplex will be closed.
• Temporary zones include:
  • Drop Off A: Outpatient Centre (OPC) & Valet
  • Drop Off B: Starbucks/ Mediplex

2. Modified Walkways & Access Routes

• Some walkways may be temporarily closed or rerouted during construction. Please follow designated signage and exercise caution when navigating the area.

3. Temporary Increase of Grace Period for Basement Parking

• 25-minute drive-through.

4. Construction Hours

• Work will take place daily from 8.00am to 7.00pm.

5. Labour Room Patients

• Labour room patients should use Drop-Off A (OPC / Valet) to access the hospital after office hours. This entrance will have a security on standby after office hours.

As Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) approaches its 40th anniversary, we are undertaking a significant renovation project to provide world-class care and greater convenience. The canopy construction is a key step in creating a welcoming atmosphere while improving access for patients and visitors.

Note:
Construction activities may generate some noise and minor disruptions. SJMC assures all efforts are being made to minimize inconvenience and maintain safety.
